Mike served on the staff of the Diocese of Virginia for 22 years, primarily as Treasurer of the Diocese. He also served as Treasurer for Church Schools, Roslyn, Shrine Mont and over saw the business of The Trustees of the Funds. In 2014 Mike transitioned to his new position as full-time CEO of the Trustees of the Funds. He continues to serve as an officer of the Diocesan Missionary Society, the lending organization of the Diocese of Virginia. Mike served on a number of Church Pension Group projects, including the development of the Church-wide payroll system and served as a director of both the Church Insurance Companies and Church Insurance Agency Corporation from 2002 to 2012. Since 2001, he has served as faculty for the CREDO Institute. He is currently Chair of the Episcopal Church Investment Committee. He currently serves as Treasurer for both The New Community School (Richmond) and the Rotary Club of Innsbrook. Mike and his family attend St. Mary’s, Goochland. Mike received a bachelor’s degree from the University of the South, an M.B.A. from the University of Richmond and is completing a certified financial planner designation through Boston University.
Laura H. Hicks Secretary-Treasurer
Laura served on the staff of the Diocese of Virginia for 13 years primarily within the Finance Office working with planned giving, development, capital campaign tracking, database management and fund accounting for the diocese, Shrine Mont and the Trustees of the Funds. In 2015, Laura was appointed Secretary-Treasurer for the Trustees of the Funds. Laura and her husband attend St. Mark’s, Richmond, where she has served on Vestry, as Treasurer and also as Chair of a search committee. Laura has dual degrees in Accounting and in Management from Texas A&M University and was licensed as a CPA for a number of years. She is a graduate of the Education for Ministry (EFM) program through the University of the South. Laura has served as an officer for various non-profits in Richmond, including Habitat for Humanity, ROSMY and the Ronald McDonald House.
